Senga the 727-100 I saw had winglets, I'd have to look thru my slides but I'm pretty sure it did, unless they took them off after storage. Like the shots & funny that precise 727 was one of your first pics (what plane doesn't Senga have? ;) )
It's odd yet kind of cool the FAA has these dedicated aircraft and they're old vintage 8) . What specific purpose do they serve, you guys know?

By the time you saw it N40 had been fitted with winglets. When I saw it in the hanger at KACY it had the winglets there too.
Yes that trip to KMGM was one of my very first trips out- maybe even my first. I didn't even know what it was that I shot. I just knew it was the FAA's plane based on the titles.
There's a lot of planes I don't have :)

Built in 1957, but color film/TV etc was generally available for most of its service life... its not a DC-3 :lol: (wish the FAA had kept that fleet flying..) Interesting though that the Convair props appear to have outlived the 727s....Originally Posted by hiss srq
