No - it was a commercial flight - between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain - it was the only way I could get from Riyadh to Bahrain on that day - via Dhahran - this way back in 1997 - I expect it's no longer operating...but..who knows...

[quote="mirrodie"]Ron, how long was the flight? PS the Twin Otter does not count ;) But that is a great a/c to fly

Mario, I realize now the Twin Otter does not count, sorry.

Now that I am at work I was able to get the actual mileage off my two short flights. MIA-FLL was 20 miles, WRG-PSG was 34 miles.

    Cheers

How about EWR to JFK on a TWA 707? This was their answer to NY Helicopter back in the late '70's early '80's. I believe it took us between 10-20 minutes.

I believe the current code for Floyd Bennett is NY22 for the NYPD ESU section only. The rest is considered a National Historic Park. The old code was NOP.
Spotters have been Homeland Security before HS was a glimmer in the president's eye.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Mark, unfortunately the mileage displays in our new and (improved ?) shares computer system did not recognize those cities, if we still had Sabre it would have probably worked, Rats !

For mew on an airliner it was LGA-JFK Delta 727-200 courtesey of a compressor stall on takeoff. Scheduled service though was cape air from SRQ to TPA. Otherwise I would say SRQ-VNC in a LR25D

According to the Great Circle Mapper http://gc.kls2.com/ it's 26 nm (30sm) between those two airports.
