    No way LGA

If that is a 707-300 series (and it looks like it is - no ventral fin, and it looks like the longer wingspan), then there is no way it could get into and out of LGA. Even lightly loaded, I believe the 707 required 8000+ feet of runway to be legal.

The background does not look familiar and to the right above the nose section the peak of the bridge tower looks nothing like a NYC bridge.

    Any other ideas?

    BOS perhaps?
    It's the fares, stupid

That's a bridge tower? I thought they were power lines.

I'm thinking somewhere in the northeast, maybe EWR, BOS, BWI.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Def not BWI, BWI even today is pretty wooded around the airport. Maybe BOS.

Another 707 to land at LGA was Air Force One in 1981. In the first chapter of "The Reagan Diaries", the President recalls landing at LGA on a visit to NYC.

I would think President Reagan would've arrived on the DC-9 variant if he came to LGA. Its not unusual for Presidents to use the smaller aircraft in the fleet for trips to smaller cities with shorter runways.

Yes, something like that, but N88ZL got into and out of MIV a couple of years ago. And FAA won't even bring their 727 in due to (what a rep told me) was the runway length. (under 7500 I believe). Go figure.

we operate our 727s out of PTK (Pontiac,Mi.) ,frequently, and PTK is blessed with only 6300 feet of runway. We are weight limited due to that runway length, and seldom tip the scales over 150K.
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
