Did it?! Darn, i saw it filed the plane for 2:00pm then it cancelled it, and I could not see another plan filed for JFK.Originally Posted by eric8669
Did the DC8 come from Norfolk, because that was the DC8 I was looking at online.

I also took some pics of the guys taking pics. I know that Phil started the "candid photos of photographers" thread, but I figured I'd put these here since they are all from yesterday.
AND, this stupid bird....it was absolutely unphased by all attempts we made to get it off the hood of Tommy's car, so...I took a pic of it. ;)
Despite the cold weather yesterday, the sky was crystal clear, and it made for some really nice shots from Costco. Here are some of mine:
Never saw this one before:
This was cool...I don't think I have ever seen a KLM 767 before.
Every shot in this thread is fantastic.... I have a soft spot for the L-10
Nick!!! And the dented radar dome on the 72......OWWW THE
HUMANITY!!!! (As I sob in the corner)

It was cold but alot of fun.

dang phil, for some reason i really love that first pic (ATA) , i just love the angle . It brings out the beauty of the aircraft. Great pics by all! and mel looks like you have some natural talent on your hands ;)
Two wrongs might not make a right, but three rights make a left!
LOL Fred, yep that 727 took a shot from somthing. I made my way to the other end and found some don't have noses at all. :D
That TW Tristar must have a hundred of birds nesting in it. I sat next to it for awhile and the birds were going in and out like crazy.

Ok a few from a fun day. Makes an early start, with Bagels and coffee, worth a drive in!
Sorry but I though the Red Baron was a warbird worth catching on film. :D
BTW I'd appreciate any constructive feedback on the pics (like, MARIO, YOU STINK!) or editing faux pas. Seriously, I just noted one HUGE dust spot but please lend any tips.
cheers
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Mario, a lot of your pics look overexposed on my screen. In other words, the whites are really blown out. Some of them also look a bit oversharpened. The TAM, World and NW can be cropped tighter. And of course there are the dust spots. But otherwise, great stuff! Looks like you had a productive morning. :)

Mario - How'd you get dust spots already.. ?? Did it come that way?
Nice shots... The kite and aircraft together, in focus, etc. would've been nice, but it'd need to be a perfect shot of course.

You're right...I misspoke. I meant to say Saudi. Whoops! ;)Originally Posted by Tom Turner
Mario,
Your shots look good. Aside from the details that Josh made, you did well and are coming along great.
Your TAM shot looks great, and you snagged an awesome angle on the Saudi.
Keep it up!
