Moose ... Way to kick off the year!
You've been keeping CLT well covered lately Moose. Great shots! It seems Piedmont has been quick to send their -300s to the paint shop without too much delay. I heard their first -100 enters the paint shot today. Maybe that'll give the folks up the road in PHL something to look out for.
Does anyone know if the VIA AIR EMB-120 service feeds to US Airways/AA ops? I'm always happy to see new turboprop service spring up =)
I'm surprised FUTT was found at work and not off in Africa dancing in the streets with locals.
Me, Paul, Kiffy, and the rest of the crew are looking forward to those AA Eagle Dash-8s! We already got a -300, but since we are mainly -100s, that will give us better chances! The CRJ-2 Reginalds need a paint-job, I can't stand looking at them!
Out to the Overview as the sun - and temperature - was going down on Friday.
This guy, US 1899 to MCO, returned to CLT after declaring an emergency. Plenty of fire trucks were out to welcome him back, but after landing they cleared the runway, cancelled the emergency, and taxied to the terminal.

Great shots Moose!

A Giant arrives in CLT. Atlas Air 744 passenger jet arrives from Cancun Monday afternoon. It flew from CLT to CUN on a charter Friday morning.
And a few shots while waiting on Atlas:

Nice catch on the Atlas pax
That first Giant shot is phenomenal
They opened a new Daily Parking Deck at CLT recently, and it gives a nice vantage point for 18L departures and 23 arrivals.
23 arrivals should have some nice light in the late afternoon come late spring and into the summer, for now, it's going to be backlit most of the day.
This is the famous CLT Overlook - there's another half of it off to the right of this shot.
The Carolinas Aviation Museum - that's the Eastern Airlines DC-7 that visited FRG for filming the TV show "Pan Am". It's been sitting at the museum for more than three years now, since an engine failure on takeoff out of CLT.

Mike Scuderi flew into CLT this afternoon. Fortunately, the new hourly parking deck provides a view of Rwy 23 arrivals.
First 757 I've caught in new AA paint.

If you haven't caught the US NFL team colors yet, you're running out of time. N709UW, the Eagles jet, returned from paint this week, wearing new, standard AA colors.
This may be the last shot of her in green, departing CLT for STL. That night, she ferried to AMA for paint.
N822AW also came through CLT this morning, wearing new AA colors. It had been the Nevada Battle Born scheme.

I know the folks in NY won't want to hear this, as yet another winter storm heads your way, but it was 72 degrees in CLT today. There was about the largest crowd I've ever seen at the Overlook.
Seems like forever since I've seen LH arrive.
