Volkel Air Base (The Netherlands) Air Force Days flying display 2013-06-14

    Hi there,

here's part two of my impression of the Dutch Air Force Days at Volkel. This thread will be with some more action shots; the flying display.

    1. The action started with the arrival of this great looking F-4 Phantom of the German Air Force. The plane is wearing a special livery to commemorate the phasing out of the F-4 later this month.

    2. The only flying MiG-15 in Europe was also present.

    3. The show continued with this great AJS37 Viggen, owned by the Swedish Historical Flight. What a beauty!

I left the airbase during the demo of the French aerobatic team; Patrouille de France, meaning I could leave the car park without any delays...

    Hope you liked them!

    Cheers!

Very impressive, how often do you get Red Arrow, Frecce Tricolori, and Patrouille de Suisse all in the same air show.

Well... Every two years in The Netherlands... In 2009 we had the Turkish Stars (F-5s), Patrulla Aguila (Casa 101s), Patrouille de France (Alpha Jets) and the Red Arrows (Hawks) in the same weekend and in 2011 we had the Red Arrows and Patrouille de France, only two because the airshow was late in the season. This year I even left before the Patrouille de France started, so common...

    Mighty impressive
    Thanks!

    Cheers!
