    KJFK 2/2/2013 Bayswater spotting

A few from Bayswater today around noon, diminishing sun and frozen fingertips.
Heat distortion was a bit of an issue. Can't wait for Spring.

It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

Thanks Eric. I didn't see Uzbek. Which one in my shots are you referring to? As Jason mentions, I think it was just Aerosvit and Transaero,
neither of which I caught landing. Rats- I need that egg.

Thanks guys. We all have to get together for a T5 run soon. There's strength in numbers. ;)

Good stuff. What sort of focal length do you need from Bayswater?

On a crop sensor 300mm will work just fine.....if you're using full frame, in my experience, 400mm is a must for most shots.

To add to what Steve said, 200mm is sufficient for 4R arrivals.

Thanks. I used a Canon EF 100-400 fully extended on a 5D body and still had to crop in on the image in post.
You are pretty far away from the action at Bayswater. A 600mm with a monopod would be ideal there.

That's right, you could get away with a 200mm for the 4R arrivals. There was no action on 4R when I was there.
