    KDFW: 11/21/12

    Hello All,

Thanksgiving Break is upon me, and less than 24 hours after getting back from Austin, I had to make the trek over to Founder's Plaza for some spotting action. The park was the busiest I have ever seen it, with good light (minus some unfortunate clouds), good temps, and a slightly heavy wind. The usual culprits were the AA and AE party that DFW always is, but I finally scored a long desired frame at the end of the day, making it all worth it. Most curious was the arrival of a UAL 777-200 on the East runways, a strange DFW visitor. Went artsy with some B&W where it felt appropriate.

    Anyhow, hope you enjoy,

    Nick

Somehow bumped into shutter priority and 1/250 on this arrival, of course...

And Last but certainly not Least, a jet that has eluded me a double-digit number of times at JFK, DFW, and ATL....

    The Lufthansa Cargo MD-11F

And the heavy touchdown from Detroit

Nice work Nick. I like the b&w treatment on the touchdown shot.

Thank you! I didn't notice the blimp in the background of that shot until I was editing them.

Nice set of collections and finally, the LH MD-11 in the bag.

The UA 772 was most likely a NFL charter.

Thank you Mark. Afternoon light at Founder's Plaza is excellent all year, but has a far less harsh quality come Winter. It is a worthwhile stop, even if it is MD-80 and Eagle ERJ heavy at times.
