Video #3
Started out at the Marine Parkway Bridge, where I met the gang.
As Manny said, we headed to Fort Wadsworth, and met up with Cary. Here is the shuttle coming under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. About 15 seconds after this shot, an outbound cruise ship passed in front of the shuttle, blocking our view for a short time.
After leaving Fort Wadsworth, the three of us headed to the Weeks Marine facility in Bayonne. Ultimately, they docked the shuttle in the same spot that US 1549 was after being pulled from the Hudson.
Getting her into place, with the Statue of Liberty, new World Trade Center, and lower Manhattan in the background.
All tucked in for the night. The crane behind the shuttle, #533, is the same one used to pull US1549 out of the Hudson.
Phil, feel free to use any of these.

Moose ...... Fantastic images. The head-on shot and the evening shots are awesome.
Phil - feel free to use any shots of mine.
We are all awesome!
Phil- absolutely, please use my shots back on page 3 if you find any are worthy.
The full album is here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...3&l=9467aedc32 in case there are any others you would like.
My day from morning to evening... just a few shots... still have to go through all 2000+ images
This is composited from three images... it shows what the view of Enterprise looked like for what seemed like an eternal 10 to 15 seconds!!
...and she emerges from the other side
It took a lot of turns and back and forth to get here
Moose and Cary are my witnesses ...

BRING BACK THE KJFK/KLGA OBSERVATION DECKS
Great work Manny!
Are the roads across from the Weeks Marina public streets?
Also, here are my pics from yesterday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/grink/s...7630035185266/
Yes they are. It's part of the marine terminal, but the street is open to the public, with parking directly across from the shuttle. From Rt 440, look for Pulaski Street which takes you to Port Jersey Blvd. Google Maps shows the location as 202 Port Jersey Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07305 but your GPS may vary.
Use these coordinates in Google Maps to view the location and check directions.

Tuesday's move to the Intrepid has been postponed due to weather...
http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/Latest...E-TO-INTR.aspx
The planned final leg of the journey of Space Shuttle Enterprise to its new home at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum has been postponed due to inclement weather which is delaying the prep work necessary to ferry and crane the shuttle to its final destination.
A new moving date has been tentatively set for Wednesday, June 6. As with all the phases of transport for the Enterprise, all moves are based on weather and tidal conditions and will be adjusted if conditions warrant. Intrepid will continue to monitor the forecast.
Enterprise will remain at Weeks Marine in New Jersey until it is brought up the Hudson River and craned onto the Intrepid.
Please note that all dates and times are subject to change, as this journey is weather and tide dependent. For up to the minute information, be sure to follow us on Twitter @IntrepidMuseum and Like us on Facebook.

Thanks. I'll get some predawn shots before I have to drive up to CT tomorrow morning. I just realized I may be able to see Enterprise from my roof in Bay Ridge.

Ok so I just ran into this story that says the shuttle hit the train bridge and caused some damage. http://jalopnik.com/5915618/a-new-yo...-shuttles-wing
Although I didn't notice it at the time my pictures show it hitting the bridge.
