    "We Stopped Dreaming"

This video, with speech tidbits from Neil DeGrasse Tyson, is incredibly important. Watch it, please.

I am so lucky to have met this man, and this is why he's been one of my favorite people alive on this planet.

Phil, you're going to hate me. I had the fortunate opportunity of being stuck with this great man on Amtrak from Washington D.C. to Penn Station NYC. And he was a gracious host... a group of about 4 young women and myself were the only ones around him. I of course recognized him immediately and introduced myself. He was his usual candid and generous self and treated us to one story after another. They literally had to throw us off the train in NYC.

My best memory of that trip was hearing Mr Tyson speak of the terror of a black hole and we started to imitate and dramatize what would happen to us if we hit the event horizon! The rest of the train wagon thought we were mad!

What a terrific person and human being indeed!

Thanks for posting this Phil. I couldn't agree with Mr. Tyson more. I've always admired him and his enthusiasim for science. Gonzalu, I'm glad to hear that he is every bit the man he portrays himself to be in person.

so true, and so sad what our reality has come down to.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
