Few of us Seattle-based NYC'ers made the trip up to the great white north today on the promise of good weather. We arrived way early for the Avis lot, only to discover that they've raised the fence about three feet higher than the prior height (well known and loved for years). Short of having a 7ft ladder or standing on a truck cabin, Avis lot is ruined. We discovered this fencing was gradually making its way around the entire airfield, ruining what was previously one of the best spotting airports in the PacNW.
Back to the sun, as you can see, the sun was out & shining in true PacNW form.
But the lack of sun and erasure of the Avis lot was more than made up for by an unexpected YVR tower tour and a few hours of spotting from the top level!
