    Nice stuff Jeremy! Making me get anxious about my layover in PHX when I fly through there in June.

    Thanks Steve. Get a couple of hours layover and you can get your fill of US Airways and Southwest. With any luck you will get at least one special livery. Great spotting from any of the terminals!

    Heading out to Reno, I have a 2.5 hour layover and on the way back I have a 3 hour layover. I figure that will give me a good 1-1.5 hours on teh way out and 2 hours on the way home to head out of the terminal and up onto the parking garage to do some spotting. I'm hoping to see at least one of the USAirways state flag specials as well as get some of the Southwest schemes I've been after. Would be nice to get soem good shots of Frontier and maybe get lucky with and Alaska with the fish on the side of it.

    Steve, you will be set! I have not been so lucky with Southwest specials. I have only seen two and no salvageable pictures. While I was moving to a new location, 40th street, I missed Nevada and Alaska Disney . I should have stayed put for 10 minutes more.

    Sounds great! I have been told that the parking garage at Terminal 4 is awesome for spotting! I am itching to get up there and give it a shot! The only bad part will be not being able to get any shots of departures passing by the tower, only taxiing by it :(

    Steve;

    Terminal 4 is great! Here is my favorite angle from T-4. This was with a 400mm on a crop body. The image is cropped a bit also. A good image is still manageable for jp.net

    Shots with the control tower in view are pretty much only from 40th street.

    Depending on the time of day you can get some nice taxi shots from the south side of T4

    Nice shots Jeremy. The one that you said was your favorite angle from T-4....Was that taken from the North East corner of the garage?

    Hopefully when I'm there they are landing alot on the north runway frequently, since anything on the southside will be back lit for me. Actually, thinking about it now, that will probably rule out getting any decent shots of Southwest if any specials come in unless they land the north runways.

    Also, is it necessary to go all the way to the top level of the garage or can good shots be managed from the level right below the top? Just in case I feel like cooling off and staying in the shade while still being able to get good pics.
