    Atlanta Spotting (7/29-7/31)

Went down to ATL to spot at the Renaissance Hotel, which was really full. Great hotel, and concierge lounge is actually pretty good. These pictures are all in the queue.
    No particular order:

    Delta 738:

Hometown Team! (For CLT that is):

There's a story to go with every trip, and this is the highlight of ours. Lufthansa 444 was arriving 26R at a very high pitch. The plane then floated down 2/3 of the runway, and touched down. The pilot then went full throttle and took back off again. Absolutely crazy! Taken from the Renaissance Concourse Hotel. Photo 1/4 (Other 2 later)

    Breast Cancer 764:

Awesome 737 bizjet. Belongs to Hyundai.

Oh, well last time I was at ATL I saw the lei (I meant lei and not luau. Oh boy.) and it was still really new, so it was special in some way if that makes any sense. Thanks though!

Tell me about it. Every time I would see anything still in nwa colors, I'd stop whatever I was doing and get on the terrace to get pictures. Thank you!

Great shots Adam! I'm thinking of going down there for a weekend, how many mm's do you need to shoot from the hotel? How is the lighting?

I'd say 300mm for most arrivals (What I shot at) and 350-400mm for departures. Lighting is really bad in the early morning if you shoot to the east, with the summer haze. The rest of the day the lighting is great, as the sun moved parallel to the runways, so theres little to no problem with backlighting. Not to mention it's a really nice hotel. Lots of pilots there.
