    City2 & City19 Helicopters

On a recent non spotting trip from London UK I noticed two heli's on 19th March radio callsigns sounded like City 2 & 19. Are these fixed callsigns?

Also this day what looked like a white Cessna 208 floatplane landed on the East River and took off after.
I observed it from my hotel window on 34th street. Is this a local based plane?

    Any help with identity's

the C208 most likely belongs to a company called Shoreline Aviation: http://www.shorelineaviation.com/Sho...lanes_NYC.html
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Those seaplane guys fly over my house a couple times a day, every day during the summer.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

There is a Seaplane base around 23rd Street and East River. The City 2 & 19 may have been NYPD.

it would make sense, though i remember NYPD's callsign being "PEE-DEE-XX", though it could have been for the 412s.

The 412s are (were) PD12, 14 and 23 though 23 on the Tower/Av freqs usually doesnt use the PD call sign but instead "Two Three Foxtrot Hotel". On the PD frequency they use "Aviation 23" .
And I believe all the low numbers for PD have been "retired" and the Koalas are in the teens. Definitely I've heard
    "PD 19".
Interesting the PD 2 I remember was the MBB BO105.
Aviation 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 were all JetRangers. Aviation 8 and 9 were the Hueys and later # 9 was used for
the LongRangers. And Aviation 11 was the Bell 222UT.
Not sure about the numbers 7 and 10 or if they were even used though something makes me think one of them was
a 3rd Huey that was eventually taken off line and used for parts for the other two UH-1S.
