Thai Cargo/Southern Air 777-200F KJFK Pics

Greetings,
Went to JFK to shoot the Thai Cargo 777-200 this evening. It flew PANC-KJFK but diverted at midnight after holding over KJFK and then diverted to KCLT lats night due to the Snow Storm. I wasn't a fan of this livery but after looking at it again the 777 compliments the livery quite well. I took two sets of shots. If I am correct this is my first 777 freighter.

Just a correction. It is Southern Air Cargo beleive it or not. It is just flying ACMI on occasion for Thai. It is allegedly going to be the only 777F that gets the Thai Cargo scheme. It is all decals which is the reason they didnt apply a Thai proper color scheme to it with Cargo titles on it as well. They have about 4 crews right now online that are 777 typed. A few more headded to class soon. One of the few companies hiring like wildfire right now.

Yes I know its Southern Air. Hence the SOO registration and the ICAO code. But it looks like Thai to me and to you too :)
It flew in as Southern Air's flight SOO701P.

I think Ryan Answer your question perfectly before I was able to. I don't know if its a regular flight yet or not. But the SOO B772s should be around sooner or later. SOO has exploded at JFK over the last year or so. This is more than likely a "tech" flight.

It might be the second. The AFR 777F came in once I think. Its been a while so Its kind of foggy in my mind.

Great catch Senga. Anytime one can get a plane with purple in it it's a great day!
Wayyy better looking than the AeroLogic 777F, that one is awfully boring. I wouldn't be surprised if it starts showing up at JFK sometime.

As far as the Air France 777F, that I'm aware of only ORD gets it in the US

No, it was listed this morning when I woke up as a 6:30am departure that was pushed back. It ended up going 10 minutes ago...it take 30 minutes to get up there and knowing my luck I'd be within sight of the field and see it go flying over my car.

Yes I just checked, they have a few now, all in the great normal colors 8)

The one I was thinking of is B-2072 which is eurowhite and appears to be stored, thankfully
