BCN Spotting Review 7/5 "Dia del Rusia"

"Dia del Rusia" is translated into Day of the Russian which is exactly what the airport in Barcelona turns into every Saturday during the summer months. Luckily for me I was in Barcelona on July 5th and headed out to the airport on the gorgeous day. Spotted were 12 Russian aircraft and various other Russian airlines. I have no idea why so many Russians visit Barcelona but I sure can't complain! The spotting scene at BCN is quite lovely with pathways and parks around as well as a tower at the beach with a great view of the departing aircraft. Unfortunately I missed photographing a KMV TU-204, an S7 A310, and a Transaero 767-200 but I was happy with what I got.

    Enjoy!

Nice shots Gordan, looks like TU-154s are rather popular there still.

    You are correct, sir. That's a TU-204.

Love the shots. Whenever I see here pictures from European airports it makes me want to go there :) How's the spotting situation in Barcelona? Easy to access spots?
