Just saw the "7 Day Forecast" and though the temps will only be in the Upper 60s they are calling for CLEAR, NO RAIN from
Wed on !!!!
My guess is the same as what we're used to. Static display, and SAR demo. You know the number, call em up!Originally Posted by GrummanFan

And so it starts...Blue Angel 7 arrived at FRG around 5pm. After landing on Rwy 14, they taxied down the end and tested the portable arrester cable, then parked over at the terminal.
Check out the sparks from the hook!
Catching the wire.
Will that be cash or credit?
After he was parked, a shower passed through. When the sun came back out, it make for some great shots, beautiful light with the dark storm clouds in the background.
The rest of the team arrives Thursday morning around 9:15am. Word around the air patch says the Raptors will make a fly over about 9am before heading over to ISP. See you there!

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
haha nice to see chad busting his ass!!.. working with the angels today is absoluely awesome!.. some of the nicest/funniest people i have delt with in the aviation industry
Spent the day at FRG & the beach. Horrible conditions this morning, and with the rain and winds, they fooled us - we were expecting the Blues to arrive on Rwy 14, instead they came in the opposite direction. Between the showers we did manage to get some shooting in. Here are some from FRG.
Went down to the departure end of Rwy 14 on New Highway. BA 7 made an impressive departure on a media flight! I think he cleared the fence by about 20 feet, and put a new part in Fred's hair!
Overcast and rain made for some poor shooting, but they certainly were close overhead.
The conditions did make for nice contrails, though.
I went down to the beach and caught their practice show. I'll post some shots from there later...
