    JFK-Firestone 1/27/08

After my SAT Prep class, me and my Dad headed out to Firestone for some 31R arrivals since the weather was great. This was my first spotting of the year and it was great. I was doing some battles with the clouds but I still got good light. Enjoy!

Nice shots Luke, the light with the dark background really makes the plane standout nicely. Some of your best shots.

went out late afternoon, here are some of my shots.

It got really cloudy, but since I had to make a pickup at the Airport I stayed around. The sun came out and the Big Red Bird was on approach.

I love the dark clouds behind the aircraft, makes for a very good backdrop.

Eric, you seem to get very lucky with Wunala!

Usually I know when it is coming in, but today I didn't check. So today was luck.

Eric, this makes up for the LA shot you missed during the day. Excellent tones.

Nice shots, guys. I briefly considered coming out this afternoon when I saw it looked good, but after the past few days thought I would pass. Thanks for making me regret that decision, Eric!

Great shots guys. Luke, definately your best stuff so far. I too fought myself with the idea of a run out there and now I really regret it. Again, great work boys. Stay safe.

    That's actually a -500 not a -300

Not being picky because I am useless at sub-type recognition, but the giveaway with CO is the last 3 digits of the registration begin with a 6.

Arg...I thought about going out yesterday, but I decided not to because I got a late start and had to be back in Brooklyn by 5:30...and I didn't check to see if Wunala was coming...Eric, darn you to heck :)

Lukas, you're getting much better results out of the 75-300 lens than I ever did. Good work!

Can I ask how does one check if Wunala drops in?
