Malev Axes New York For Winter Season

In a bit of a surprising move Malev will be axing flights to JFK and YYZ from BUD in mid-November and will resume flights again in March of 2008.

The 767 fleet will be leased out for charter flights in the mean time.

Last flight to JFK is on November 17th and flights will resume March 31st.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Perhaps because Delta has been kicking their arse up and down the Nort Atlantic routeings since service inception?

Boo! I was hoping to catch Malev when I visit JFK in December. Oh well, all the more reason to make a second trip in the Springtime. :D

Interestingly enough HA-LHA will be going to Varig for a wet least. I read about this a while back and did not think much of it so the plans of axing JFK for the Winter season must have been set for sometime.
