City of Derry Airport runway subsides under plane

A plane sank into tarmac while waiting on a Derry City Airport runway.

Passengers on board Wednesday`s flight from Salou, Spain, were driven away safely.

The jet was eventually able to power itself free.

Earlier this year the airport was closed by the Civil Aviation Authority over safety concerns, including runway subsidence.

this started to happen last week here at LGA. after the bad wx he had friday night the port resurfaced one of the taxiways the fllowing morning. i guess the asphalt didn't have enough time to dry and a NW 757 started to sink into the surface. the taxiway got shut down and by the same time the next morning it was good to go.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
