Pictures From One of the New 7 Wonders of the World

As some of you know I am currently down here in Cusco, Peru and have been since June 19th and will be heading back for New York on the 28th which is in 11 days. I'm currently down here because my mother who is a professor at Vassar College was assigned to direct their new Spanish summer immersion program hosted in Cusco, last year it was in Oaxaca, Mexico. Finally this past weekend we had the chance to visit Machu Picchu although it was the worst weekend for me since I have been sick since last Tuesday and found yesterday I have been diagnosed with Typhoid Fever which is apparently rather common here in Peru. Needless to say I was in a lot of pain over the weekend.

Nice shots, Gordon! Since I expect that I will never get to that part of the world, I'm glad you posted them. It sure looks like some gorgeous scenery. And I hope you are feeling better. Maybe we should start calling you "Typhoid Mary" :D

But what's this crap about "New Wonders of the World"? It's just like when they said Pluto wasn't a planet anymore, and all the stuff I learned back in Catholic school went out the window :roll:
