The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Took a ride past FRG after work, and saw the Spirit of Goodyear in for a visit:

Fred, Moose - Nice Job!
Fred - Glad you got that old Sikorsky Hulk.
Moose - I was wondering what blimp that was over the city the last couple of days. Today I had guessed it was GoodYear - Unusual to see other blimps on such overcast days.
That makes Blimp #2 by my count this summer - following the NAVY Blimp.

Last two days saw the blimp fly right up the middle of LGA at about 5PM. Must be a cool sight for landing aircraft.

Sweet shots. I should go check it out, I always miss the blimps. I'm surprised Fred isn't in that cockpit taking pics...oh wait, it wasn't 3am, never mind.
Shoot first, ask questions later.

Took a ride past FRG this afternoon to see what was up. Going down New Highway, I saw this guy getting ready to depart:
I was a little surprised at just how loud it was when they pushed up the power!
I saw the AAM's L-39 heading down to Rwy 1, so I parked over by the terminal for a while...
When he returned, it sounded like he wanted to fly up initial for an overhead pattern, but it was a busy day and tower made him fly a normal pattern. He ended up crowding a Cessna on final, and going around when the Cessna didn't clear the active in time:
Touchdown!

Nice Job Moose.... I wish I had time to post some of the 10000+ pics I took around farmingdale this past month....I can not wait until it gets cold so I have time to look at them let alone post some. If you think you have seen some neat shots from Farmingdale, you have to see the ones that Moose John and I have that will be posted in the future. Sorry to be such a tease but this summer is not over yet and I am looking for a few good len's for night ops in the next few weeks....... Now off to find someone with a reall fast streetbike for some Felix 101 shots.....DON'T ASK! ;)
