    Just had the greatest brainstorm!

I visited the Amityville Horror house the other day on the way to my haircut and just had the best idea. A quick evening shoot where we nail the house (hopefully with some interior lights on). I love that house, it' so spooky. In fact we can do a number of nights seeing that it will be a quick park, shoot and leave kind of thing.

Here is how it looks today.

I wish it had those evil windows like the old days.

Not sure what night I may shoot by there but lets keep an open discussion and keep any visit to the house to a minimum amount of photogs out of respect for the current owners. I would say no more than three. Also dinner would be involved since it will be a short shoot.

I heard that the whole story was fake fromt he beginning, that nothing ever happened inthat house. Can anyoen confirm?

If it is true, then I don't knwo how anyone would want to live there.

I'm also sure they get their fair share of photography.

If I lvied there, I would scare passerby by hanging out at an upper window witht he lights out and a flashlight on my face or something.

First Nik, don't ever knock my spelling after your 'greates' idea.

Second, have a ball photographing it. I took Glenn Stewart the weekend before Halloween, 3 shots and then outta there.

Have fun storming the haunted house!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Phil the murder part is true, Defeo commited mass murder in the house. And I am pretty sure the part where he was picked up by the police in the bar up the block. The Dakota Rose was accurate the rest was Hollywood.

Thats the thing Phil. WE'll never get confirmation. The murders did occur.

Then the next family (portrayed in the movie) to move in claimed the hauntings to the point that they were run out of the home.

After that, any family to move in has never claimed a problem. I recently saw on a TV show that some are going back thinking it was a hoax. I am leaning towards that thought.

Sounds interesting, I'm game. I would probably set up across the street, roll down the rear side window, and stay in my truck so I could go for some longer exposures and maybe try out that HDR stuff I've been meaning to experiment with. Curious what kind of angles I'd be able to get though. Did Google Maps add any street views for that area yet?
