The coolest livery I've seen in a while

    http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0785111/L/

Saw this on a blog noted in another thread and for some odd reason, I love it.

What is the word on this? Does NA still own it and lease it or does it belong to El Al?

Would love to catch this one once!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    EL al livery

    Hi,
Im not 100% sure about that livery, but its the old one and its being converted into the new, current livery you see on EL Al planes, someone correct me if im wrong. Im almost 100% sure that the 777s and 747s and 767s that visit NYC would have the new colour scheme on them, being http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1112962 . I personally like this scheme http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Elal.b747.750pix.jpg
So looks like the old livery you like is only remaining on the 737s, and a few of them only.
    Regards,

IIRC, EL AL is leasing this from GECAS, ex-N802NA. North American has no part if it any longer.

And Matt, that's not the old livery but the basic livery of North American. It's a temp. hybird.

Mike is correct. North American used to do a fair amount of flights for El Al, and at one point just took over the lease from NAA.

North American only had two 737-800s, the other one (N800NA) is now owned by Sun Country and now bears winglets (I think it's N806SY).
