    Vegas Hotel....advice?

Just staying a night in Vegas in october, then going to takea drive up PCH.

So the quesiton is where to stay in Vegas. Last time, we stayed in Luxor, which afforded great views toward the airport but was too far at the end of the strip.

I was thinking of maybe Stratosphere, but that is the other extreme end isnt it?

So turning towrad Paris vs Bellagio vs Venetian as they are central.....but hte bootm line is, whats a good place to stay?

    thanks, mario
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

The Stratosphere is a dump, don't waste your money Mario. If your looking for value go with the Monte Carlo. Nice rooms, good facilities and its centrally located. The Belligo isn't worth the money, small rooms big price tag. The Venetian is very nice and the Paris is ok. Bally's isn't a bad property either.

Yea Strat is a dirty place for sure. Monte is awesome. I stay there a lot when I drive up to LAS. Def the best value for your money. If you check expedia and the other sites sometimes you can get a cheap room at Harrah's and MGM. They are nice too. Harrah's rooms are awesome though the Casino is way too small and the MGM is very nice all around.

I've stayed at 2 different places in Vegas

The Venetian is very nice ... expensive too! (I had the fortune of the tab being picked up by my wife's work) It does not have great views of the airport.

I also stayed at the Tropicana once. Older, cheaper, nice pool. The rooms were a bit tattered but I got a room in the back tower facing the airport and I had great views of runways 1/19 and good views of the Janet ramp.

    Have a great time!
