Aerobatic Pilot Bails Out Over LA

Veteran airshow pilot Sean Tucker bailed out of his Oracle Challenger Tuesday morning while practicing. The aircraft is a loss, but Sean managed to parachute out and land safely without any injuries.

Sean is scheduled to appear at Jones Beach but we're unsure if he'll be flying the show.

Such a shame....here is a shot I took of the cockpit last year. That plane was almost as awesome as the pilot is. Glad Sean is OK!

It's a real shame but Very glad to hear Sean made it out safe. It will be very unfortunate if he has to miss some of the season especially Jones beach :(

such a shame... wonder how long it'll take for a new airplane to be built. he still has his backup plane but it's nowhere near as capable as the challenger. sure going to miss polishing the plane in exchange for flying lessons with him!!

i'm glad that sean is ok, but i doubt that this year's airshow party is going to be nearly as much fun as years past...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
