Hopefully we at the 106th RQW can give you a proper SAR demo.
No helicopters from us at JB. Enjoy the 130 and PJ jump.
Thanks Moose. 👍👍
Water District by day, Air National Guard Helicopter Crew Chief by weekend. Except for those two times I went on an all expenses paid trip to Afghanistan....
Last I heard we're go for a SAR Demo. Static pending availability.
Great read. I can relate to staying with the plane after the crew leaves. Theyre outta uniform and I'm waiting on a fuel truck and tying the blades down.
From my time at Bagram I can tell you that the take-off angle I witnessed was steeper than I was used to back home.
Correct.
For you rotorheads, not so sure we'll have any HH-60's for yas. Between phase dock and deployment its gonna be tough to free up the assets. I'll be there on my own time Sunday watching the sights.

SHAKE AND BAKE!!!
Cya's there.
There's the first plane I worked on, although these newer models are much different. Amazing how they can keep cramming new stuff in these Jets to keep them relevant.

I should check this out.
Saw this one over Kings Park today around 11am.
A local car club dude, Jesse, is the news12 am shift guy. If I couldn't fly 'em, flyin' in 'em would be awesome as well.

Militarily, no. I missed the bus on that. For us you have to submit your package by 28 years old. Outside, it's a possibility.
They pulled the breaker. This is fuel for those who believe Flight Engineers should still have a place in the cockpit. Just another set of eyes on a checklist.
Hey all, haven't posted much in a while but I've been busy gearing up for a big change leading to a great opportunity. I've been hired to become an airborne radio operator on our HC-130's. I'm...
Our guys prefer flying north for some crab cakes. :)
Nice, go pro?
