I do not avoid planes, as pretty much every plane except the 787 and 747-8 have been in some accident. I avoid the EU blacklist airlines.
Think one of the Chinese carriers are considering the 747-8i also. Some routes the A388 is just to much capacity and the 773 is not enough for the secondary routes out there.
I look at the EU...
Now that the 747-8i is cert, think we will seeing her at either jfk or ewr next year. But it is pretty impressive that they get both 747 cert and the 787 cert in 5 months.
Singapore A380 will be coming to NYC via FRA for their winter schedule . Info source Singapore Airlines, with a very cheap promoto rate for 380 euros.
This is my a-net photo.

Does anyone have minor scipt errors when view the site, contact us and the new post tabs are on top of each other.
That will not really help, as I need more then 300mm of reach and with a 1.4 TC it will be less then 300mm.
So how does the 150-500 rate as a spotting lens, is the AF good enough to track during take off. I looks to be pretty sharp at 500mm.
Nice that they are doing that, it gives them a new hospital plane, and cedes takes a nice tax deduction. It works for everyone in this case.
I rent the canon 70-200 2.8l mk2 allot, that is a anchor. I just prefer lighter lenses.
I have a adorama account as NYC is home also. I have rented the 100-400L before. That is why I know that it would not be used except for spotting. It is just a bit to bulky to carry around.
At FRA my lens of choice is a 85 or 100 primes, do not need any longer form the spot I shoot at. The 100-400L would be a 1 airport lens. I just can not seem to pull the trigger on the 100-400L...
That was what I was thinking, but I have a dislike of big heavy lenses. That is the only reason I never brought the 100-400L, and I use the non L 70-300 for most my shooting. I like to travel...
go with CX. Allot less stressful with only one transfer in Hong Kong, and Dragon Air is not bad a. Only 2.5 hours on the connecting flight vs a 5 hour flight form Korea. I flew with them to Hanoi...
After shooting at jfk yesterday, I really need more reach to spot there. Unlike FRA, where my spots all I need is a 200mm<. So I am trying to decided if I should go whole hog and get a canon...
Stop by hobo for a bit and was able to get the AF a380 landing and the LH a380 leaving.
Pretty crazy weather, to the north of the airport there were T-Storms.

Never really posted any of my spotting shot, so I decided to post some for the board
These were at JFK

Nice catch of the eva air cargo shot, with the smoking tires.
It was at T3, they moved us to T2 to get by faster at the end. That terminal is just horrible.
I do not normally fly delta, but that was the only flight that fit. They are not bad at LGA. But JFK is not where you want to fly delta out of.
they did that with their fra flight for their parent company LH couple years back. The Private Air all business was a nice and relaxing flight with great service. But the demand for those routes...
Ok, on of the few rare times I fly delta, and it is a complete nightmare at jfk. Much prefer LGA. Went early, 2 hours ahead pick up my ticket. Then waited on line at security. With 40 min to the...
You have more Asians in Queens, allot easier for them to get to jfk then the ewr. EWR works for manhattanites, but for brooklyn and queens it it is really out of the way compare to jfk. Makes sense...
