I found this photo link of that very same A-10A back in July of 1982 when it had the "Charcoal Lizard" paint scheme.

Link did not work for me
me either, but I did some reverse engineering and came up with this: http://nabe3saviation.web.fc2.com/aA7u.html
LOL "reverse engineered" The Dragonfly on that page is pretty cool!

COOL!
Id love to know how this all came about. When was the idea floated? whos idea was it? Did they have to buy it from the boneyard? How was it funded? .. I wish we could get more heads up on proposals and maybe even try to raise funds for future projects. What if we wanted to get an old E-2, or F-14? Im sure the museum would love it but cant afford it. Maybe we could help?
I see AAM has been keeping the crew from Worldwide Aircraft Recovery Ltd. busy again this week,
because they just relocated the F-84F from the Cradle of Aviation Museum over to the AAM also

Saw a picture that the A-10 is out on the tarmac by the AAM looking nice!!
FYI, there's a nice article in Newsday today, "Welcome Home, Warthog"
about the AAM adding the storied A-10 aircraft to its military collection.
Here's the link from Newsday's website also:

BTW, after seeing this cool photo below of all of the AAM's Republic "THUNDER" aircraft together,
they definitely need to add a new banner up on their Hangar that says:
"Welcome to THUNDER ALLEY"

It was great seeing the A-10 up close out on the tarmac today at the AAM for their "HOG WILD" weekend.

As per the post above, I went out to the AAM for a first hand look at their new A-10. It is a great looking airplane and it really rounds out their Republic collection. Here are some shots:

Send a squadron of these Bad Boyz to Iraq to deal with the ISIS thugs, problem solved!!!!!!
Nice shots, Isaac !
Anybody know what was happening at FRG last evening? I was passing by after 8pm while driving down New Highway and saw lots of cars parked along the road. Seemed like something was going on in or around the AAM with a lot of people milling about.
It was the Wounded Warrior dinner at the AAM.
Does Trump still have his Sikorsky S-76? Havent seen it around in a long time!! Last summer it was a pretty regular visitor over by Atlantic at FRG.
He does. It was at KPHL last weekend.
So is the need to be buzzed into the Main Terminal new? Did something happen for this new policy? And noticed today, havent been to FRG in a few weeks, that there is green bunting covering the fence around the west Talon hangar that goes from the hangar to the beginning of the fuel depot there!!
Guess the fine folks at Talon want some privacy. They do a lot of MX work in that hangar with the doors wide open, so, I kind of understand it.
I hear ya. Interesting though about the terminal. I'll have to check it out.
Just noticed today that the old Sikorsky S-58T helicopter they used for fire fighting practice by where the blimp crews set up is gone, replaced by a smaller fixed wing!! I guess unceremoniously dumped into the scrap heap!! :frown:
I heard there was filming going on today over by Sheltair. Anyone have any idea what TV show it's for ?
I haven't been able to get over there myself yet and was just curious.
Just saw A Super hornet Heading South over Lindenhurst / Copaigue
Just heard something fast go over my job Iin West Babylon, knew it wasn't civilian. by the time I got outside it was already out of sight. gentlemen outside saide he saw it and was an F-22, knew that was unlikely out of Republic! Anyone know if the Super Hornet is coming back?
I think it's still there just moved it a little north of where it was.
sweet! I wonder how long it will be there? I can't make it over there today.
Heard they left an hour later!!
Around 5:30 Chopper 4 watched a Flight of 3 circle then land at Teterboro. Speculation they are here for UN week, flying CAP

Yeah, I didn't see any Super Hornet over by Sheltair this evening, but they were filming a military scene
for the new CBS TV show "Madam Secretary" by the Old Tower with 2 L-39s from the the AAM.
Heard it go over a little after 5:00, drove up New Highway around 6:15 and there was nothing going on except the filming.
