Due to the fatality two weeks ago on New Hwy, they finally filled in dirt so if you go off the road, there is no longer a lip. It is now safe to spot once again....and the peasant's rejoice!
Awww, c'mon now, you know they just did that so the Memorial Day crowds have somewhere to park. :wink:Quote:

Could you be a bit more specific? Upstate NY is a rather big place, even bigger than LI I believe.Quote:

US Army Casa 212 - 00178 - Sat -4/19/08
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...FRG_041908.jpg
I saw that CASA flying circles around my house in Great Neck today at about 11:30. He had the back down and both back side doors open. I was waiting for a jump team.
Any ideas??
I was watching them prepare while sitting in the Sheltair lot. There were 2 guys in Army fatigues, and 5 guys in black jumpsuits. Looked like some sort of team, and they were acting a bit goofy at times, almost as if they were practicing what they would do after jumping out. Alas, there were no markings on their jumpsuits, so I couldn't tell you if they were Golden Knights in training or not.
Here they are departing Runway 14

Fred,
That shot of what I'm guessing to be a Gulfstream V touching down with the tower in the background is great!
I'm strating to think I should have bought Canon.
Where was that taken, by the main terminal?
I was on airport property and not at the terminal....sorry  , I wish the terminal shots were like that.
Does the terminal give any good views or is it just down right terrible on that side?

It was a Coastie Convention at SheltAir this afternoon - this is one of three HH-65 Dolphin helos on their ramp. Caught this one departing, the other two were still parked at SheltAir when I left.

FlightAware shows this Falcon left for PBI tonight. With the tail markings, is it any surprise it's been seen in Lexinton, KY this week?

Is that the "damaged" H65 still sitting on the tarmac?
