Pat, the AAM should be open as well. IIRC, gates open at 1030hrs.

Republic is one of the friendliest spotter airports out there. It won't be all that crowded tomorrow but Thursday-Sunday will be a mad house.
Sean Tucker filling up Oracle 2. Insert Joke here_____

Thanks guys! Any idea what runways they'll be using for tomorrow?
Everyone (except military) will be using 1/19 due to the temporary arresting gear installed on 14/32.
Got the chance to get over to the airport before the Thunderbirds came in....
Here are some shots I took....

Since there was nothing going on I went for a little bit today and here is what happened
Golden Knights-no show
Ed Hamill-Still no show
Team Oracle- various media flights
Thunderbird #8 was not at the main terminal the whole day I was there which is pretty weird.
Thunderbird 8 is having mechanical issues and is over at the Talon hanger off Rt. 109. I tried to get a picture of it over the fence but I just couldn't get the angle or lighting.
I saw them towing it over there yesterday. I would think that it has to be something pretty big for them to take it in the hanger. They've got 5 days to get it fixed I guess...Quote:

I just saw it at FRG -- its a two seater but it has the personal effects pod on it (don't know if that make a difference)
BTW I just want to say thank you to John and Fred--for talking to me and my son and also taking some behind the fence photos for me :borat:

I thought Moose liked the cold? The Golden Knight aircraft also was in by Sheltair. Was going to head out when I spied the Kalitta
Charters 727 cruising northbound just east of FRG setting up for Runway 1-4. Watched them land, then taxi in.then left
BTW the TBirds looked pretty nice sitting in the late afternoon sun. This should be a nice weekend.
Hey guys... it was nice to meet some of you, see again others and Look forward to meeting the rest! Here is one more
shot that I took a little while ago.....

Well, enough of that, I need to go shoot the T-Birds now... 8)
The T-Birds brought 8 birds in, 6 single seat and a pair of 2-seaters. After the team was in, they towed one of the station wagons to the south end, but there is still another that was used for media flights Tuesday afternoon/evening, and scheduled Thursday as well. Did you actually see them working on the a/c, or could it be they just moved it off the ramp to keep it out of the way if they're not planning to fly it for a few days?
