To Kenny,
So sorry to hear about the accident! I hope your mom is ok!
From the other thread:
Sorry folks, but today while I was waiting for Blue Angel #7 with the family a car hit the lip and struck my brother and aunt and hit the car and narrowly missed me. Thankfully they are both in stable condition. Because of this information on the first page may be out of date and I probably will not be able to make it back to the airport to provide people with live updates.
I would also like to thank Fred, the photographer with the camo lens( sorry I think I forgot your name), the two off duty EMT's, and all the people who called 911. I don't know what we would have done without you guys.
I would also like to thank the Dept. of Homeland Security,SCPD, and the East Farmingdale Fire Dept. for responding quickly and getting everyone to safety.
Here are some pics of Fred and the flight he took tonight:

Very happy that you and your family are ok "HERO". Kenny Saved his little brother by pulling him out of the way. If it was not for him, this would be tragic. All those years of playing video games JUST PAID OFF!!!!!
I tip my drink to you, You EARNED the title "BIG BROTHER"!!!!
Here is the cause

and the EFFECT

It is rare that a NEW HWY Accident is not serious.
Last year they filled the potholes, and filled in the sides of the roads WITHOUT closing the road for a day!
How about some of those earlier shots Kenny?
Thanks Fred It was my natural instinct (from modern warfare 2 :borat: ) to pull my brother the hell out of harm's way.Quote:

As for their condition they have both been discharged and my brother got some bruses, and minor back injury. My aunt got a laceration and some major bruses. Both of them are very lucky.
Also those shots are coming REAL soon I'm sorting through all 300 of em

Nice images........and the FA-18 from Canada looks great. I was there this afternoon, but the lighting was too harsh. I ended up going to the terminal to catch aircraft #7 from the Blue Angels.
5 quick ones before I go to bed.

NICE! I really wish I could get on that tarmac. :(
Great shots everyone... Has the freak show they call SheltAir started trying to throaw their weight around? Hahaha... One bum claims they own the airport, the other one thinks shes a pair of chocks she gets handled soo much and the other in there sends Av Gas trucks for G550's. Hahahahah
That bum is a friend of mine and you gave him a hard time after he spent 10 hours on a Very HOT ramp for 2 days where everyone feels they should have access... Including yourself and he trys to keep it from being a circus as airshow performers are preparing and not showcased there.
Please do not disrespect Shelt Air or any of their employees as the DID let you have access all day until one in your party gave massive attitude and total disrespect. And he Does own that side of the airport....as far south to the runway and as far north as NFI. He does more for us than any other airport would ever do.
I was their, remember?
And people should remember that you do not chop the hand off that feeds you. That week was the last time they ever sold fuel to an airplane I was involved in. Same goes for the other person in the group that stood up. And 3 of four of us from that group are badged for FRG access and operate with tennants of the airport... So we had rightful access. The disrespect didnt start untill after the untimatum was placed out there. I remember well that you were there Fred. He may be your friend but the bottom line is said individual initiated even after 3 of us showed credentials validating our presence on field and in the FBO. He may do a great deal for your photography access but when people who buy fuel, use GPU's and general services there get shelved and singled out for no rational reason that doesnt sit well with me. I stick to my opinion as such about siad individual and that SheltAir location. And he doesnt "own" the airport in that range of locations. A fellow in Florida does. He may be your friend but that shouldnt bar others from sharing opinions favorable or not. I know there is a number on this site that will allign behind me. All due respect to you though Fred.
I RAN OUT OF FILM http://i69.servimg.com/u/f69/14/69/87/53/s5010.gif
film?!!?!? lol
Yea i'm still using film for medium range.Quote:

Outside the gate in the parking lot at the west side the same will happen except this time it is SCPD. And this is all with a valid reason for being there!
I recently got checked out in a 172 at FRG and have the FRG badge. Yesterday I was over by Sheltair watching the F-18 come in. I had my badge on and could have easily gone thru the gate but did not. My airplane was not there and I had no valid reason for being on Sheltair's airshow hot ramp wandering around. If you used your badge to gain access, and bring in friends no less, then the least you can do is cooperate with the people at the FBO. Unless they were preventing you from accessing your airplane, it was most likely you were sightseeing or trying to get that shot few others can get.
If Sheltair was really nice enough to know you were there on the ramp to gawk, and let you do so for hours then you give them a hard time? I think you may be biting the hand that fed you.
Like I said....compared to ISP it seems that FRG is a VERY friendly place!

watched both the A-10 and Blues land. They cleared EVERYTHING out of the air for the blue, and even pushed the A-10's out into holding for about 10 minutes.
The air traffic controller sounded like he / they were pulling out their hair.
When the A-10's were coming in the guy standing a few cars back screamed out "THE WATER HOGS ARE HERE" .. ugh
Yeah, I heard some guy tell his kids the Tomcats were getting ready to take off when the Hornets left last week. I say at least these TOOLS provide some entertainment value.Quote:

Normally on a Thursday, the Blues will arrive early and land. The diamond will then go up for about an hour to the show site to get points of reference. When they land, the solos will go up and get their points of reference. When the respective jets land, the team will debrief. They will all go up around showtime and fly a full practice.
As you can tell, Thursdays are BUSY days for the team.
1355 Blue angel transport flew over my house.
Talked with the A-10 pilots for a bit after they landed. They chose to circle and wait on the BAs - tower offered to let them make a straight-in to 19, but they wanted to to fly an overhead pattern on arrival, so they decided to wait.Quote:

I just wanted to add I love FRG. :) They never told me to shut up and I can be annoying when I want to be lol
Great shots Fred. It looked like a busy day over at FRG.
Took a quick ride around 5:15 as dark clouds are gathering on the horizon. What is with the fence
covering over by the AAM? Goes almost halfway to D&K.
Yeah, I didn't like seeing that fence covering by the AAM either !!! WTF?? :xQuote:

Anyone get a shot of the other side of the special CF-188? It's got 4 Wing Cold Lake on top of the tail, but the engine covers are from 425 ETAC, which is the eastern base at Bagotville, QC. Since it's a representational, it's probably got Bagotville on the starboard tail, but I'm still curious. The all-grey -188 is also from the 425 ETAC (look at the top of the tail).
I got shots but I am too tired to dig it up right now..here are a few quickies from tonight! I had a good time Mario :borat:Quote:

I saw the Blue Angels rehearsing yesterday over Jones Beach on the news. What time was the practice run?
I think that's because administratively, they're out of Cold Lake but I know they came out of the Que. I was speaking with a few of the team members and they said that they came out of Quebec. Their truck also has graphics out of 425 ETAC.Quote:
