Manny, great shots! Fred, excellent vid from tower.
Damn, now I want an In & Out burger... wonder why
fred the best part of that video is the light from the revolving beacon on the ground. damn i miss that....
Sorry, Mispost
Hey Fred ... Do you have any shots of the inside of the tower? Always wondered if its still like ye 'old days, or just an empty shell. .. Great pics too!!
Soo.....they gave it a reg that used to belong to a Cessna...

Do they need FAA approval for a reg or can they just slap any old reg on as long as there's no engine starts/taxi/takeoffs
Great shots Manny
Just a heads up, Kalitta 727 is planned for arrival just before 2pm. I wonder if it will be "Tex Sutton" livery?
In any event, and 727 and 707 together at FRG... doesn't get much better than that.
Tom, nice find. Pretty cool!
Yes, I thoguht that was a Shorts type Ac this morning. I think I read that this episode would make Republic the scene of Haiti in the 1960/70s, probably to look at the rise of the Duvalier regime. So my assumption is that the Shorts/Sherpa looking prop was also used in the shoot?
Very cool. I recently learned that my grandfather was the photographer for the President of Haiti back in the day. Its in the genes!
nope, it was pet airways Shorts
Glad I got to see this great aircraft tonight. Good to see Manny and Mike - and thanks for the use of your stepladder.
Also got a look at the 727 parked there as well, and couldn't help thinking how rare this was - a 727 and a 707 at FRG!

And how about the museums temporary "new" look...

Isaac, nice to see you there today too. It is my second visit to see the 707 and I can't stop thinking how cool it is ...
The 727 is indeed the Sutton...

But Mark and Nick have MUCH better shots of it :-)
Steve, get her while you can, sacrifice what you can... this may never happen again :frown: ... I have actually gotten in huge trouble with the wife over this because it is so rare. Who knows if the show will survive beyond the first season.
If it does, I bet we will see her flying
I heard the plan was to depart noon Sat. I thought that may change with all the crap wx but if they got their filming in looks like we won't be blessed with a Sunday departure.
Fantastic light this morning and early afternoon at FRG. Thanks to Nick V for the informing me of the 727, otherwise I would have missed this bird. Thx Nick!!!!!

always nice to see the 727, nice shooting Mark
they're talking about gusts to 40 tomorrow, would you let your baby take off in that(especially when Sunday looks clear)?
Here is the 727 in earlier days. Winning!
I may slip in and throw a wrench into the carburetor. That might buy a day ;)
Heard something overheard bout 6 min ago. Was that it? Would flightaware note the departure?

Here are some photos from this morning of N707JT departing in heavy snow and cold winds. The snow seemed to pick up as it was taxiing out hehehe...
Thanks Fred...

Isaac
That first shot is superb Isaac... very nice.
I love the second one! Beautiful, I wish I could have been there...
How's this for our "sleepy" little airport. At 1am last night, on the ground was N707JT - the beloved 707, N725KS - the Tex Sutton horse charter 727, AND N724YS - another 727-200 bringing the San Jose Sharks hockey team in to play the Islanders. Too bad that one did a dump and run over to EWR. Bill, any shots yet???
Isaac......beautiful set of N707JT departing. The first and second shots as awesome. Glad to see someone was there to catch it departing. Would have been interesting seeing the Haiti scene in the snow.
It was a lot of fun but damn was it nasty out. Cold and rainy and then started to snow as they taxied to 14. Looked like they were having a little difficulty hooking up the tug line to position
the plane to the taxiway. And they were given the "Cleared for Takeoff" as soon as they got in position. It was funny as everyone raced out of the AAM parking lot to get ourselves in
position. Too bad the ceiling was so low as they disappeared pretty much as they crossed the numbers of 32 but still was pretty AWESOME!!
Please do not mind the 707 outside as I know it looks a little out of place
