Fixed my credit, sorry Gerard ;)
I wonder if they will still be there later today?
:( That sucks
Hockey season has started and last night two B737s came in from Charlotte NC. One with Islanders and one with the Hurricanes!! First came in a little before Midnite and the second around 12:20AM.
And the Islanders are using Swift Air this season, not Miami Air.
And you may have heard it twice - Carolina also used them. Both were on the ground at the same time.
Any chance we'll get the San Jose sharks 727? I'm attending Wilson Tech this year so I'm at FRG everyday and I'd like to catch as many NHL planes as possible.
I've seen photos of it at FRG already. San Jose plays Washington this Tuesday, and the Islanders on Thursday, so you may see it in town for a day or two.
FYI - the Sharks 727 arrived at FRG this afternoon and it dropped off the team over by the Atlantic Terminal.
It departed around 4:50 and I believe it was headed over to EWR because after the Sharks play the Islanders
tomorrow they have back to back games over the weekend with the Devils and Rangers also.
Islanders Swift Air flight to Pittsburgh departed at 2:13 this afternoon off Runway 3-2. Just missed them boarding at Atlantic where the B737 was sitting close to the fence!!
Last night (10/27) at 8PM, Air Canada ACA7082 (A319) departed FRG, heading for Denver. Anyone know who the flight was carrying?
Inbound was YWG-FRG, which brought the Winnipeg Jets to the Islanders.
The Isles play at Colorado next, but they still have to play tonight at home. Winnipeg sticks around for a game in Newark on Thursday, so they're not flying anywhere yet.
San Jose is the next team that has to leave Denver, but they of course have their own plane.
It was only on the ground in Farmingdale for 2 hours, so I'm guessing it was an empty reposition. We'll see where the next flight goes.
Rangers play Winnipeg on Saturday night to complete the trifecta of Tri State teams so reposition to? LGA? Westchester?

Looks like the Sikorsky is on a European Vacation, lol
Have there really not been any Notable visitors since Nov 2014 or are are these being posted in another Thread?
I was wondering the same thing earlier today!
Its been quiet with this cold/wet winter and with all the snow blocking the ramp at Atlantic its hard to see Notable Visitors, lol!!
Just heard Something go over my Copaigue office, Real Loud, 10:23am. Any Spotting's over at FRG?

Heard the sounds of beefy rotors strong enough that it shook my house a few mins ago. Saw what looked like a Blackhawk heading for 14.
I was listening to the FRG traffic last night and the Detroit Red Wings MD-81 came in just before 8PM.
I believe it's over at Sheltair and it should be departing tonight after their game with the Islanders.
The Blue Jackets DC-9 is parked over at Sheltair right now. Sadly, it's probably the last time it ever visits FRG,
since the Islanders will be playing at the Barclay Center next year and most teams will use EWR then.:frown:
There is a Burkina Faso 722 sitting at Sheltair. Reg is XTRA-BFA.
Nice seeing some spotter friends out at FRG this morning. Here's the Burkina Faso 722 from last night. Beautiful ol' bird, looking immaculate with polished engine intakes, leading edges and a shiny coat of cream colored paint.

Read thats it leaving tomorrow so still time to go over and grab some pictures if you are in the area!! Its spot adjacent to the fence makes it a great photo shoot!!
The 727 departed today around noon. Here's the shot.

Great catch Steve!
Chris do you think the Islanders will still fly out of FRG? I say this because I would gather most of the team lives here on LI and they practice at Iceworks!! Of course that can change if they all move away or they find a new practice ice!!
Saw their Swift Air B7347 fly out today at 2:15 to DSC and I'm wondered if thats it? If they lose of course the season is over and if they win they play the Rangers and no flying will be needed for that series!!
