And just like that, we're less than a month away from this year's UN General Assembly. Man, where did all that time go? Hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying the last bit of this excruciatingly hot summer (in NY, at least).
Some findings on potential new visitors... Australia has recently taken delivery of two 737 MAX 8 BBJs (A62-001 and -002) to replace the aging 700s. Both of the 700s have been put into storage already, so hopefully we'll get to see one of their new birds this time. Zimbabwe's president now flies on a state-owned Falcon 7X (Z-AZM). It would be nice to see Zimbabwe back in town again, despite not being the Air Zim 767. Netanyahu is finally flying on the State of Israel 767 (4X-ISR), so hopefully no more El Al charters for them. Finally, and probably most importantly, Nigeria took delivery just a couple weeks ago of an A330-200 (5N-FGA) to replace their 737. The president has already flown on it several times, so I expect this one to come this year. That's all I've got, please let me know if I missed something.
Looking forward to another great year. Talk soon!
