Moose, where in the house do you hang your ID when you go to bed? lol...
Awesome, Moose !!!
That might be the best darn quote-drop in the history of this forum. :)
Amazing stuff Moose!!!
Just speechless! Fantastic. Nice work Moose. Here are a few that I was able to get as the aircraft was getting prepared for a make-over. Unfortunately I couldn't get any clean shots.

Great Shots Moose!
Too late for Matt and I. We were going to try and swing by today but lost daylight.
Not that I'm looking for her to leave anytime soon but does any have a clue on a wheels up. Matt and I would love to be on hand for that.
Talk about on time. ETA was 10:57 and I had my scanner on and heard them about 10:57 contacting the Tower.
Great shots. Hopefully they will still be there Sat so i can get a lookie. And with the weather forecast bad for tomorrow and even worse for Saturday maybe
they will be here for the whole weekend.
According to Wikipedia "Jett Clipper Ella" is the names of his two children and "Clipper" in honor of Pan Am World Airways which was a large operator of B707s and used Clipper in
its name. Maybe another reason he was happy to have the show use his jet.
BTW did JT fly the plane in or does he have another flight crew when he is unavailable?
AND......GREAT PICS MOOSE!!!
Couple of questions? Once the plastic covering is installed I know the Boeing can't fly with it on but can it taxi? Any idea if the show wants any taxi scenes, perhaps an evening arrival? Just curious, oh and Moose, AWESOME shots, what an IMMACULATENT Classic Boeing !
Sure you can say you were looking for an abandoned hospital.
It seems like it's going to be totally static but they could make the northeast part of the airfield look the part.Quote:

That is one sweet looking and clean plane! Well Done and proud to have it here on Long Island!
Took the kids for a night glimpse. Looks like all the actors and crew trailers are ready for a shoot tonight.
Nice to see it even though there was no chance for a picture.
Oh man. I so should have made the drive and sacrificed sleep to see that beautiful bird. Great shots guys!
The airplane looked stunning last night in mostly Pan Am colors. It was great to see everyone that was out last night as well.
Great Shots Moose!!! (and Zee as well... its really not everyday you see a 707 in and around the hangar at FRG. Those are cool shots.)
Imagine if the show gets its time slot changed, gets better ratings and lasts a few more years... you know what'll be coming - Two Things.. a 747 getting put into Pan Am livery again, and a TWA show on another network.
Tom
Why couldn't she fly with the stickers on it? Is there fear she would be confused for a Learjet?
Doesn't Connie still have active -100 series airframes? This could totally work out!
Allow me to share in that anticipatory excitement about a -121 747 in action again:
YEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Too bad the show isn't good enough for that to happen
First time poster here. Im Rich...I know a bunch of you from in and around FRG.
Had to post up on my "mission" to see this baby come in and just add my two cents.
Some planes you look at and enjoy..maybe take your pictures then move on. Some, however capture your imagination and you just want to walk around the thing and not leave. This 707 is one of those for me. What an absolutely gorgeous aircraft in every way.
I wont bother posting my pictures because Im an absolute hack photographer :).
Welcome to the site, Rich! don't be shy about your pics...we'd love to see them!!
Was just over at FRG .. That plane looks amazing .. even cooler in Pan AM blue. I like what they did with the planes Reg # ... The AAM and Sheltair look strange with their signage taken down though. I really hope we get a heads up and can watch this bird take off!!!
I chuckled a little when I read this. Somebody's phone is going to be ringing off the hook when that beauty finally leaves. I just hope I'm at the end of the ruway when it does!Quote:

This reminds me of driving by the PA maintenance hangar at JFK (Pre 9/11) and seeing a 707 they had dressed up to re-create the 25th anniversary of the 707's inaugural flight to Paris.
It also reminds me of sitting in the rooftop parking lot of the Pan Am Worldport and watching their 707's leave JFK on their way to the dessert. (I believe they were sold to the Air Force to be used for parts for the KC-135's). They were using the callsign BOEING ***Papa Alfa.
...hopefully she does a few fly-bys for us to dream some more...
Given the heavy rain today and the proposed storms on Saturday, is there a possibility she will stay longer still?
Here is a video I took of the shutdown of the 707 at Farmingdale

From the fence holding camera over the fence at the top of my monopod for really attrocious results  Thnaks a MILLION to Fred for updating me on the whereabouts of the bird. Amazing how many people were still working on it even as late as I got there.
And we saw a SHERPA!!! Trying to pass itself off as a Shorts Brothers 360, can you believe it? ROTFL

I can't explain how I felt being there in person... There is a magical effect this aircraft has on you. One the spectacle of a 707 with original engines... then the idea of what it represents and then the rarity of this plane... I sat in my car for almost 10 minutes just giggling like a baby my mouth open. I took these planes for granted back in the 70s and 80s and now they;re gone. Same thing happened when I saw the L-1011 fly in Vegas...
Wow!
I guess they wont be filming the tail.
