Love the use of the overpass in these photos Fred. You definitely prove that there are plenty of different types of shots with the steel wool trick. Awesome.
Yep the way the steel wool on fire light up the trees and el is pretty epic
The trees were lit by the street light on the left, I ran up and popped the bridge about 10 times with my flash and then under the bride 10 times and the trees leading up to the bridge about 10 times on each side or they would have been black as leading up to the bridge is pitch black. In a second shot I did the steel wool and then used two layers in photoshop an only used lighten on the steel wool. I could have done it in one shot but I find multiple tripod shot has many advantages. I really should do a thread on why I do it that way.

Fred, thanks again for showing me this. I am definitely hooked. Now all I have to do is hope that some of my friends up here have enough balls to come out and have fun with this with me. I still can't believe you did that in the gazebo Fred. Epic!!
