That's correct here is the schedule for
Thursday May 13th
8:35PM THE PRESIDENT departs New York, New York
John F. Kennedy Airport
9:30PM THE PRESIDENT arrives Andrews Air Force Base
9:55PM THE PRESIDENT arrives at the White House
and i did see some military helicopters crossing the Hudson in route to i guess JFK at around 8:25
His flight arrived 20 minutes early and we were out of there by 8PM. Did get a nice look of AF1 sitting over
by the hangars.
I heard several passing today; they woke me up. I live in Oakland Gardens (North Queens) and I saw one CH-47F Chinook and before that one that looked like a Bell AH-1Z Viper (going based on google images to best-match what I saw). I've been in New York since 1992 and I don't recall ever hearing or seeing military choppers in these parts before.

I think all the chopper sightings are related to the air show for Fleet Week on Sunday over the Hudson River. I spotted 3 A-10's and an Osprey heading north over the Hudson. The guy at the Intrepid said they had an air-sea rescue demo but I missed it as the West Side was jammed with traffic on Memorial Day. The NY Daily News said there was some sort of chopper demo on Sat. at Flushing Meadows involving the Osprey.
