Summer Solstice @ PHL
I've been waiting for the longest day of the year this year for a specific reason- to catch British Airways Flight 69. PHL sees 2 daily Speedbirds, a 777 that arrives around 3:30 and Flight 69, which is usually a 767. I don't have any BA 76's, so given that yesterday was technically the longest day of the year I ventured out to catch it.
I started shooting around 7:30 to get that nice yellow 'tint' we are all so fond of

With sunset at 8:32 and an arrival time of 8:35, there isn't much light to speak of. I ramped up the ISO as high as I was comfortable with, 800, and kept aperture at f/8. The camera chose a shutter of 1/100 which explains the blur to the moon. I smoothed out the grain as much as possible without destroying the details. And voila

And now we begin the slow march towards Winter's darkness

Thanks man. And by some stroke of good luck, I am still able to avoid the new AA livery:biggrin:
