A vote passed by VC (Lufthansa's pilot union) by a whopping 91% to strike starting immediately. Lufthansa is reportedly already shuttering 3/4's of it's flying as a result and Swiss will not be picking up the additional lift. Look for no metal to JFK or all 4 hole action at least from LH for a little while.

Rats i've been trying for the Lu 747 and MD-11 for awhile now.

Good news everyone! 3 Lufthansa flights today. A330, MD-11 cargo and a 747-400 at night. All in arrival order that I saw.
See, nothing to get concerned over.
There back in full swing now so i'm guessing the strike is over
