Hello everyone, BOS based spotter here. I'm trying to put together a trip to JFK for UN week spotting (particularly the exotics). Does anyone know exactly when UN week is, and which date(s) would be the best to go to JFK to catch these exotics arriving and/or leaving?

Thanks!

FYI- here's the link for the 2015 UNGA Week thread:

Some visitors may arrive a few days before the start of the UNGA but I think the start of the weekend on Sept 18th (Friday) some visitors may slowly start to arrive and then depart as traffic should pick up throughout the weekend. There are no specific times when the UN visitors arrive and depart so some spotters may be out from sunrise to sunset. Due to aircraft parking limitations UN aircraft type don't stay parked at JFK. So you should be able to catch some departures as well. Spotting during UN Week is always challenging and with ongoing construction of runway 4L-22R it will make it more interesting.

This is the "Super Bowl of spotting" as one local spotter put it.

FYI, it looks like UN Week may be a week later than we are used to this year. According to the schedule on the UN's website (http://www.un.org/en/ga/70/meetings/), the General Debate (the part that all the visiting dignitaries fly in for) begins on September 28th. I'm working on independently confirming this.

Hopefully everyone is aware and didn't make plans too far in advance.
