I am really not surprised that the Coney Island Air Shows scheduled for Aug. 29-30 have been canceled. No reason was given but I imagine that the permits and insurance as well as security made problems and sponsors are needed to foot the bill. Now, its been 15 years since a show over NYC. On the bright side, we can now return to the US Tennis grounds on those days & watch the pros play for free before the real tournaments start & view LGA aircraft as a bonus !
