Thanksgiving in SXM

Spent an extended Thanksgiving break in SXM. 2-year anniversary trip so spotting was not really part of the plan. Been there 8 times by now but this was a first for my wife, and she loved it. St Martin is so much more than a hot airport, I totally love this place.

We stayed in Anse Marcel, the northernmost area of the island. Picture #9 is actually the view from our balcony.

Great shots! Funny you mention taking your wife there. My wife recently made it very clear that if we go she does not want stay anywhere near the airport. Guess I will plan a solo spotting trip then. :tongue:

We married guys need our own solo trip there for sure. LEt's gang up. My wife has gone both of my trips and she loves it but she is getting tired of the plane stuff. So I told her I would trade her another island for me to go to SXM by myself :)

Sounds good! Let's do it. I'm game for an official NYCA trip to SXM, or just a bunch of us guys (hitched or not) doing a long weekend or something.

I have been wanting to do an SXM trip for some time now, wanted to go as a 40th birthday present but was out of work. I'd love to go sometime next year with you folks(my better half actually wants to come and experience it)

The SXM dream trip would be- we get enough spotters together and charter the Kalitta Air 727 for 4 days 3 nights.
That would be sick!
