Great article, Airbus has been designing the pilot out of the flightdeck. AF447 drove that point home.

not sure why but at about the 8:53 mark the plane starts to call the pilots names....

That's the beauty of automation - I used to have a flight instructor on board to call me names like that!

Right after the 20 foot callout it starts chanting my name...
