from reading that story it seems like the pilots knew they landed at the wrong airport, but actually landed at a different wrong airport. Anyone else get that?

All three airports are within miles of each other on nearly the same exact heading ... this was bound to happen.

The Atlas pilots now belong to a not so small group of pilots. This is a great summary of landing at the wrong airport.

The TWA 707 had the interior gutted in order to get the weight down enough to fly it out.
