Yes the Tornado was at Pease and the Luffy 735 was at Bangor for fuel, on its last flight to the boneyard

Thanks for the comment

Why was the Tornado in New Hampshire? Training mission? And what boneyard was the 735 going to?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Great set of shots, Rich! Love the Luftwaffe catches you got. And I see the Maine ANG still uses the MAINEiac sticker on the jets. Back in UPT, one of my classmates was going to fly -135s with them.

Probably on their way to Red Flag or another exercise. A hundred years ago, I helped drag some West German Tornados across the Atlantic on their way to a Maple Flag exercise in Canada.

Actually, I got to thinking about it - the Luftwaffe has a tactical training center at Holloman AFB, NM where aircrews fly the Tornado. They have conducted training at various USAF bases since the late '50s, but in the mid 1990s, a permanent training center was constructed at Holloman. Several hundred personnel are stationed there, and crews rotate in for training programs. The Tornados (and the Phantoms before that) are owned by the Luftwaffe and carry standard markings. This may have been a crew or aircraft headed that way.

Thanks everyone for the comments, Gerard the Tornadoes were in route to Red Flag at Nellis AFB. They developed a problem with an engine and diverted to Pease. The Luftwaffe A310 came in with the parts they needed to fix the issue.

Not sure of which boneyard the 735 was going to but it went to Tulsa OK.

Moose the Maineiacs are alive and well in Maine.....
