JFK Spotting 2.0 (coming from Ontario)

Hey everyone
back in August of 2012 i came out to the NYC area and spent a day spotting at JFK. I had met a few of you that day (Cary,eric8669,megatop412,cal07,jhickman) anyway if you don't remember i hd me DSLR pass away that day and had to leave early. Anyway I have a nw DSLR and I will be back in the area labour day weekend. I am planning a JFK Spotting trip 2.0 on friday Aug30th i would love to meet up with some of you again.

Id join in as well, but I have to work on Friday the 30th and have prior obligations saturday and FRG festivities on Sunday. I may be around on Monday though.

Thats pretty cool, I don't think I would be able to get away for both evenrs and seeing I live about 10 minutes away from the Canadian warplane Heritage museum and see WWII aircraft flying around every weekend I would think I would need to take advantage of JFK. Looks cool though and I won't lie seeing a whole heap of B25s would be cool!

Ray! What's up man. Yeah I remember your camera dying, that was a sad day. I plan to be in town that wknd but have to work Friday. Gotta do the family thing for some of that time but can try to get away for a bit, keep us posted about your plans

Well I checked with my wife and she wabnts me to go on the friday to the Airport. I am going early and plan to stay until it gets dark! I am hoping for redemption from the last visit!

Sorry I won't be able to get there in time Ray but I hope you enjoy yourself. So tell us, what did you end up replacing that old camera with? If I had Canon glass I would go for the new 70D, it looks fantastic

Yesterday was great. I did get lots of birds I was after. a few suprises as well. It was great meeting you and those other guys. definatly getting the CX748 was nice, and getting. plus all the A380 action.

If you are ever wanting to spot up at YYZ let me know.

Once I get back to Canada I will pist a few of my pics.

Here is a chunk of afternoon arrivals I took. other than the KLM and the LOT Ethiad and Turskish the rest of these are not ones I see at YYZ, I see Alitalia and Aeroflot but its with smaller equipment. I took others but I am at work and I don't have them handy.
