For the first time since I got it, I finally got to put the 7D to good use...I had about half an hour to shoot before we took off for home in the Piaggio...here are the results! It's going to take a lot of getting used to with the new camera, but so far I'm pretty happy with the results!

Sweet Shots! Were those tight crops only really possible because you were on the ramp or would a passer-by be able to get the same angle? I'd love to swing by aspen one of these days to do some shooting. ... Also, NICE signature ;-)

Thanks guys! I hope to finally make it out for un week. Those shots were from the ramp at 300mm but it looks like theres a road on the other side of the field where you can get similar shots as you would in Eagle.

Awesome photos!!!! Just curious, what's your workflow on these excellent photos?

Thanks!

Thanks John! It's pretty basic...shoot in good conditions, then just global levels/contrast adjustments, white balance adjustments, then local levels/contrast if needed, crop and sharpen.

Killer shots Mike. I bet that field can reward you with some amazing shots in the winter as well when the moutains are snow covered.

Should I have been touching myself viewing this set? On a serious note, great shots, and you should do a column here about flying the Avanti, that thing looks crazy
