I had read about this mystical place before, but recently discovered that it was located just off I-81 in Natural Bridge, VA - a place I had passed several times when heading down to Charlotte. After spending the weekend at the All Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA, I headed down I-81 for home, but not before a short detour to visit Foamhenge.

This sculpture was built in 2004 by local artist Mark Cline (just one of a number unusual sites he has created in the area). It is an exact replica, positioned in correct astrological position, of the better-know Stonehenge monument on the Salisbury Plains of England, and located on the top of a hill in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

In the eerie silence, you can sense the presence of ancient Styrofoam Druids.
