Video: Syrian Fighters Shooting at Airliner. Thoughts?

So a video emerged on the internet that says Syrian fighters are shooting on an airliner. I know, crazy, right? But I can't quite believe any captions these days, so I try to look into it.

Because of ratio distortion on videos, it looks like a warped classic 747, blue cheatline, blue tail, white on top and more grayish on the bottom. With no titles, I doubted it was an airline, and I doubt any airline is actually operating there. After searching around a ton, I came across this...

Iranian Air Force 747-200? Now it makes sense why they would be shooting at this plane. This is still, assuming that these are FSA fighters in Syria, and taken yesterday as claimed by the video caption.

Anyone concur? More feedback? Who better to investigate this than avgeeks.

It definitely looks like a classic 747 like the ones you added. Interesting to see the Iranian AF bringing in military supplies.

At that range, those guys probably killed a bunch of people on the ground, not even coming close to the aircraft.

If they would have hit it, that thing would have made a nice fireworks display.
